Tenth Station: Jesus is Stripped of His Clothes

Stripped and jeered by His own nation,
Jesus stood in desolation,
Giving all He had to give.

“There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it. When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.” (Matthew 27:34-35 NIV)

“Blessed is the one whom God corrects;
so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
For he wounds, but he also binds up;
he injures, but his hands also heal.” (Job 5:17-18 NIV)

“Surely God will crush the heads of his enemies,
the hairy crowns of those who go on in their sins.
The Lord says, ‘I will bring them from Bashan;
I will bring them from the depths of the sea,'” (Psalm 68:21-22)
